Higgins Lake is home for me! Now that I have moved away, my high school friends and I reconnect at this campground. We are all from the area and had the pleasure of growing up right next to this beautiful lake! It is Crystal clear and walk out for a long ways before it drops off. The campground is beautiful, but you don't need to camp to enjoy the lake. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Relaxing time up north WI

Our campsite was just in view of the pond on the campground. Everything was clean. There was a bar on the campground that had pool tables and some other games. We had a fun time fishing too! We even got to see some otters in the pond.

Up in the clouds

I stayed here when the weather was not in my favor…it rained. With that, we had the greatest time hanging out at our campsite. It was a little slick on the site with all of the mud, but it made for fun stories. Close to the park and hiking trails.

Close to Pictured Rocks

I have stayed here multiple times! I even stayed here before it was a KOA. This location kept me coming back. The KOA now offers may different activities for kids too. I spent most of my days out in the park, but the campground is close by and has all the basics you need: campfire pit, picnic tables and showers! I will keep coming back to this spot.

Best place in WI

Devil's lake is one of my favorite places in WI! When you get to the state park, you will see the lake. It is very clear, but I was way more impressed when I started hiking the bluffs! I had such an awesome time. It's an intense hike to say the least. The natural rocks form steps all the way to the top for beautiful views! I have hiked both bluffs and around the lake. I would highly recommend.

Right in the middle of everything!

This state park was right in the middle of a whole bunch of other waterfalls and parks! It is right next to Cascade falls and lake Superior! You don't even need to drive your car to get to these trails. Beautiful and clean sites to make hanging at the site nice too!

First Backpacking Trip

I stayed in site 16 and took both the River and inland trails. The site was so pretty and right on the river. Had a nice space for a campfire with a grate! I didn't know what to expect with my first Backpacking site, but this surpassed it all! Very hilly along the river and obstacles in the way. The inland trail is flatter and easier if carrying lots of stuff.
