11 point river

This is a great place to start your 11 point river trip! Stop here to rent your canoes or kayaks and get dropped off wherever. You can drive to Greer Spring that is a spring that comes out of a cave. It was in Backpacker Magazine as well. This has been my favorite river to float down so far. I’d suggest making the trip without kids the first time to judge your skill level. It’s a bit fast and deep at the beginning. Lots of stopping points on this river. Very scenic.

Great place to hike!

We had a great time camping here with several family members. The trails were very nice and scenic for the little amount of work to hike them. The Des Moines river passes right through here and I’d love to make a float trip out of it some day.

Great float trip area

This is a pretty nice place to get a float trip however far up the Big Piney you want to go and float right back to camp. Friendly staff that run a nice outfit and a decent little store.

There is a spring on the opposite side of the river that is fairly easy to swim to that is a thrill to swim through. It’s ice cold!

Great tent and Camper site

This is the most common place my friends and family camp at for Mark Twain Lake. Very clean and well kept. The kids bike around on the pavement and play in the little park. Great access to a few coves too. Very close to Black Jack Marina and a boat launch.

Maybe ok for RVs

We camped in a couple of cabins years ago and weren’t too fond of them. These were the older cabins in the back with the RVs. Very thin walled. The place had a sewer smell but I heard they were fixing it.

Very clean park

Very well kept park with lots of fishing areas.

Great place!

I’ve camped and hiked at Siloam Springs several times. Great hiking trails for all ages. Nice hiking loop for backpacking camping. Had a great time taking a scout troop out on the lake. I actually haven’t fished it much but everyone around here loves to catch trout there.
