Absolutely Beautiful!

Wonderful campground! The waterfront sites are pullthroughs on a halfmoon loop. The sites are level gravel pads with a walkway that leads to a raised gravel sitting area for each site. The sitting area has a firepit and a picnic table. The sites are very well spaced and the park is quiet. You see a boat launch and swimming area across the lake. There is water and electric hookups and a dump station. We saw a bath house and several shelter areas. The camp hosts are super-friendly and even delivered wood to our campsite. We are looking forward to visiting again!

Right on the Mississippi!

This is a really nice campground right on the Mississippi! The campground is quiet with level gravel pads with a picnic table and firepit. The sites have electric, water to fill your tanks with dispersed throughout the campground, and a dump station. The sites are well spaced and the campground itself is feels more like a park that happens to have RV parking. There was a playground, showers, pit toilets, and even a small amphitheater next to the river. And the views are incredible!!! There are a few non-electric tent only sites as well. We were disappointed that we could stay one night due to our schedule. We will definitely stay again!

Amazing!!!

This is a BEAUTIFUL beach! You camp right next to the water and can listen to the (gentle) waves all day and night. The beach is really level. There are garbage cans, showers, and pavilions with bbqs. The sand is mostly varying sizes of crushed shell so careful walking barefoot. You can watch the ships go by, the fish jump, seagulls and sandpipers running around the beach all day, I have been told, dolphins occasionally swim through. We fished, kayaked, and rode our trikes. Every one there is super friendly and it's fairly quiet. And it is completely FREE!

Pretty but not very level

This is a nice campground on Rend Lake. The sites themselves are nice and the lake is beautiful! Our only issue is that the sites on not very level. Ours had a significant slope when we backed up the electric hookups. But it was a concrete pad with a concrete picnic table, firepit, and a tall hook for a light or garbage out of bear's reach. We saw a nice playground for kids. We would stay here again, just scout for a more level site.

Nice spot for a day or 2

We have a last minute change in plans so needed a place to stay for a couple of nights.

Level sites with full hookups

Plenty of space to walk the dog

Right next to a gas station with great burgers and tenderloins!

It was cold and windy so we didn't get out much to explore. It is right next to the interstate for easy on and off and it's very quiet.

LOVE!

I grew up a few miles from this state park so stayed here when we went back to visit family. This park, like all state parks, has had it's ups and downs. Unfortunately, the amazing swimming beach with concession stand and changing rooms with showers is gone. Due to the large population of geese, ducks, and cranes, the water is not safe to swim in.

On the upside, the camping, boating, and fishing are amazing! We dry camped right on the water's edge for $6 a night, 2 weeks for $88! Electric sites are only 12. Their sites are 20/30/50 amp. No water or sewer at the sites but there are water spigots dispersed through the campground and full dump station as you come in/leave. There is a nice camp store next to the campground st the marina for fishing gear, firewood, and a few essentials. You can also rent fishing boats, pontoons, kayaks, and canoes.

We were able to kayak and bike here and it was amazing! We will definitely be back!!!

Visiting family

We chose this park because it was close to family we were visiting.

Pros:

Full hookups

Laundry mat

Showers

Dog park

Close to interstate

Cons:

Uneven sites

Very close together

Tiny concrete pad, very little grass

No picnic table or fire ring

If you sit outside, your just looking at the side of the RV right next to you.

Lots of fulltimers with pretty rundown sites

Overly concerned about the grass while letting the rest of the park run down

Nothing worth getting pics of here

We will try a different park when we go back.

Vacation Paradise!

We just started RV'ing and going fulltime all at once. Our backs were starting to feel the road so I looked up, "RV parks with hot tubs" and found Jamaica Beach RV Resort. This place is amazing, it literally has everything! 2 hot tubs, 1 indoor and 1 outdoor, 2 pools, 1 lazy river (so relaxing), 1 miniature golf course, 1 duck pond, 1 outdoor movie screen, 1 Pavillion with grills, and an awesome splash pad for the kids, both young and old. It is right across from the Gulf at the front and a trail to the Bayside with docks for fishing, 2 bench swings, and a nice bike path. We also saw chickens, horses, cattle, ducks, cranes, fish, and a lot of turtles.

It has 2 separate laundry areas and several spots to just relax.

We were wondering where fulltimers go for vacation and we just found it! We will definitely be back!
