Great place to enjoy views of the incredible rock formations of Capitol Reef National Park. The campground is quiet, has clean bathrooms, and the nearby store sells freshly baked pies every morning. Very enjoyable.
Great spot to relax and fish or hike. Plenty of shade and privacy, pleasant even in summer when the weather is very hot. A lot of the sites have direct access to the creek and are in the shade all day.
Amazing! Easy access to the rim trail and spacious spots with plenty of shade. One of my favorite campgrounds within the National Parks. Showers and supplies available at the general store.
Probably best to avoid in summer. The weather is really hot and, being in the desert virtually no shade. The lake is fun to swim in and the water is clean. Zion is within an hour drive. We stayed a few night in September and as soon as the sun set an incredible amount of gnats would come out making it impossible to keep any headlamps/lights on. The bathrooms were clean and the views were great but the gnats were definitely annoying. Winter would probably be better.
Stayed here 2 nights in mid-September, loved it! Our spot was spacious and offered great views. We had plenty of privacy and the bathrooms were clean. Best place to stay when visiting arches, several hikes within a short distance of the campground.
Stayed here one night when the park was full. Short drive to the park and easy to get to the main grocery stores. The sites are not very shady and there is not too much privacy but overall it's a nice place and the bathrooms are very clean. It also has an equestrian campground attached.
CCampground is nice, most spots have enough shade. The bathrooms are clean and hot showers are coin operated. Easy hike to tressels beach and short drive to san clemente t-street, san onofre - old man's beach, and bluffs. Some noise at times coming from the close military base but overall a really nice place to stay especially for people looking to surf or enjoy the beach. Lot's of hikes in the area as well, which are easily accessible by car.
Stayed here in march, camground is great! The spots are big and the boulders provide a lot of privacy. Amazing spot to view the stars and arch rock is an easy half mile hike from the camground. We went to arch rock in the middle of the night to shoot some photos of the milky way! In my opinion one of the best spots to camp in joshua tree. It is a first come first served ground, so make sure to get there early morning to secure a spot.
