Stopped off at this park for a pass through and really enjoyed it. They have trails and boardwalks leading to the fall, and also a nice information and shop room. There are camp sites with no hookups, and easy access to the river for a little tubing. Hidden treasure out in Northwest Nebraska.
Walnut Creek is a first come, first served camping area. The park has different activities available to families. There is a large paved path that goes all the way around the lake, while also connecting to the greater trail system in the Omaha metro area. There are singletrack trails available too. They range from pretty simple unpaved paths to more technical areas with steep inclines and drops.
Spent the weekend using one of the RV sites on the property. There were 30 AMP electric hookups at the sites. The sites were very spacious and allowed plenty of room. There was a water fill station and a dump station near the entrance to the park. You paid $15 per night for the site and used a drop box to pay. There was no way to tell if there were sites available until you got back to were they were, but you had an hour after arrival to drop your paperwork back off at the drop box. We did a little park exploring around the lake and enjoyed seeing some wildlife. It was cold when we were there so we didn't get a chance to check out everything the park has to offer in warmer months, but we had a great time and look forward to being able to go back out soon.
We spent a week at Blake Ranch RV Park and enjoyed it a lot. We arrived after hours, but our check in papers and map of the park were easily located at the office. We met the staff the next morning and they were all really friendly, and suggested some sites we see while we were in the area. The RV spots were large, flat and easy to get into with enough room to park our truck after we unhooked. The park was within 1/4 mile of a travel center with easy interstate access. During our stay at Blake Ranch we took advantage of the little store, propane fill up and laundry facilities. The park was well kept, clean, and quiet. If you're going to be staying near Kingman I highly recommend this RV Park.
Nice quiet park with lots of family activities. The camping spots were mostly wide with 30/50 power hookups. Paved parking pads made leveling the camper easy. All the park staff we interacted with were very friendly. We hiked, biked, played disc golf, and practiced our archery. Great park that was quiet and offered lots to visitors.
Very large concrete pads with full hook ups. The lake was very nice and our kids enjoyed playing in the water. The staff was very nice, and helpful. We got in after hours and their process was super easy, and the directions were simple to follow. Close to attractions and town. You could hear the highway noise outside, but we didn't hear anything inside our trailer while we slept.
