Good stars and private but...

We arrived at night and found a spot pretty easily. The next morning, we tried to venture outside and the mosquitos were coming in thick swarms. We ran back to the camper trying to avoid the ridiculous amount of cow patties. The dogs were snatching the dried ones up as we ran further exacerbating the trauma. 😂. Our one dog fell 10 feet into the Reservoir because the edges are not sturdy. We had a hard time getting him out as the walls are straight up. We were afraid he was going to get sucked into the spillway. Needless to say, go further than we did if you want to stay here. Not sure what it is like, but it's bound to be better.

Awesome night sky, hidden cacti

We stopped in late, the roads are smooth and there is a lot of places to pull off and have privacy. If road noise bothers you, just venture further along the road. Downside: there was a lot of small hidden vicious cacti, we were afraid of letting the dogs out. We went mid June, it got hot fast in the morning, but was pleasant enough in the night to not need a/c. Sunrise was pretty also.

Outstanding place

We followed the directions on a review as Google was taking us the wrong way, so be aware of this. We parked at sunset and saw the sky turn all beautiful colors around the tetons, listening to the river babble, while the coyotes howled to each other. There were other people there but most were very respectful. Some kids rolled in about midnight, made a lot of ruckus and partied till dawn, bit once we knew what was going on, it didn't bother us. Reminiscant of our youth. 😉 Very close to town and some awesome mountain biking at Horseshoe Canyon. We loved it and plan on returning.

We did return, there were only 3 other campers here. Never heard any of them. Adding more pictures of the sunrise.
