I loved this campsite. Was very secluded, small lake but perfect for kayaking. There’s a small beach on the other side of lake(not recommended to swim at by workers) that you can kayak to and relax. Not overcrowded at all and in a great location. There are many trails in the back of the campground. Overall, I had a great experience here. Would def return for future camping endeavors!
this was a beautiful place to camp. The water is an amber/gold color and the beaches are sand. They have a boat launch for kayaks which came in handy during my stay. No cell service. This has great secluded campsites off of the main road that are by the water in the woods. Def reserve early if you want a spot
This is a great family beach/day tripping beach. You can get campsites along Lake Ontario where you can see amazing sunsets. It does get a bit crowded at the beach where people day visit but other than that it was a very pleasant experience overall and the campsites are pretty spaced out. If you don’t grab a lakeside campsite early they will def be taken so reserve early!
I stayed at this campground a couple weekends ago. It was very family oriented in the sense of so many activities to do from laser tag to basketball and so much more. I usually prefer to camp where I’m more secluded, but the convenience of the store and the Schroon river being so close for kayaking was def a plus. If you’ve got a big family to keep busy during the summer months this place is for you.
