Family camping and canoeing

Arkansas' claim to fame! The first national river.

Great canoeing, fishing, swimming and tuning on one of the cleanest rivers around! If you come help keep it that way!! Several outfitting choices near by with reasonable rental and shuttle rates.

Ccampground is always a favorite! Running water and electricity at the sites. A bit disappointed with no flushing potties or showers this year due to maintenance.

Hinking trails are abundant… check out Panther Creek or the old mining town Rush!

No cell service…great time to disconnect from reality!

FAMILY HIKE A BIKE TRIP

Mother Nature: This was a phenomenal state park. Many multiuse trails. Get up early and drive mountain base road…we caught a great view of a moose. Panorama Point had a breath taking view.

Hygiene: Laundry facilities on site. Showers weren't warm ar the end of a long day and will cost ya $1.00 for the first 4 minutes and 25 cents every minute after. The state doesn't provide hand soap in the bathrooms.

Reverends Ridge Loop A: facilities within walking distance for restroom and dishes. Electricity and water were great for us semi-tent campers. We had great camping neighbors. Not much deadwood on the ground. Fire wood $5.00 per bundle.
