Huge lake, many things to do, mostly quiet family camping

Good camping, although sites are somewhat close. Very few with shade, especially if you want "water front". Gravel pads are typically fairly level; water and electric at all but tent sites. Grass way overdue for cutting making it extra buggy.

Close doesn't begin to describe the camp sites! Spots are crammed into every conceivable space at any imaginable angle. Some sites are "waterfront" but you can't access the water nor see the sunsets for the reeds and Cyprus trees. Decently level asphalt pads with electric and water.

It must have been nice at some point but it's obvious budget cuts and other priorities have taken its toll. Bad roads into and thru the park, grass in bad need of cutting, garbage (glass bottles and dirty diapers) on the "beach".

Sites are fairly well dispersed with water and electric at each. Be careful though, because the asphalt is crumbling and man u have ankle-breaking drop offs between the parking pad and the picnic table.

Nothing to write home about but it has electric. Decent spacing between sites but nothing between sites except sagebrush and dirt really equals zero separation.

$22 for a very unlevel parking spot, a picnic table and a fire pit. The campground is very quiet midweek and is best suited for tent camping. A lot of one night camping traffic while we were there. Zero service on AT&T and Verizon. 17mi to nearest services.

Fairly spread out sites but very little shade. Full hookups but Colorado price increase and state park access fees are nuts! Each site has a concrete parking pad, but for some inexcusable reason they're very NOT level.

Campground is very clean. Loop E (electric hookups) is very spacious and well laid out. Every campsite is a pull thru allowing you situate anywhere along the paved area to best suit your needs. Mostly level, fire rings, and very large metal picnic tables. Enormous amount of room.

Soldiers Creek Campground is fairly quiet but so close to neighbors even the most general conversation is easily overheard. Just hope your neighbor doesn't build a big fire because you are going to enjoy the smoke. Lots to do in the park (history, hiking, fishing). Unlevel asphalt parking, very few trees, pretty close to your neighbors, and incredibly rough (paved) access roads to the campground. Nothing but dead dry grass around you. Highway noise VERY prevalent right behind the camp site. Reserved online and yet they managed to double book my spot.

Fair amount of trees, definitely more in the higher numbered spots. Sites are decently spaced but not great. Electrical hookups only, water available. Bathroom/showers are spotless.

Gravel parking spots, fairly level, most without shade unless you get on the "back loop" where you can find 4 with good shade. All manner of amenities (electric only, water & electric, and a few with full hookups). Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. 4 private showers available…clean. Weekends are typically busier than weekdays.

Small local park with grass camping spots. Most spots have water and electric hookups. Dump station with nonpotable water is easily accessible. Very shady camping right along the river. $12 per night. Worth the money. Not busy and no limit on stay duration.
