Jones bay CG is just past Steamboat Rock and has maybe 8 sites. We camped at the end one which you must carry into, but you have your own bathroom and lots of privacy. The walk in is maybe 50 yards and we brought our own water but you could filter. Camp is right on Banks lake and has a table and fire pit. Some nice areas to explore right from camp and lots of shoreline and vistas. We were here during spring break, and not crowded at all. Lots of hiking nearby and the state park is just down the road.
This is our go to off season campground. The yurts are awesome for winter trips like thanksgiving and the camp spots are big and have pretty good privacy. Walk to the beach, lots of trails for hiking, good biking and kite flying. Head into long beach for seaside town fun and you can drive on the beach there too. Two lighthouses, a great visitor center, and fresh seafood from illwaco. The park gets pretty crowded in the summer which is why we go off season. Awesome campground
