Been coming here on and off for the last 15 years and it's always a great time. This time I was in spot 128 for our Hiker Trailer campout. Pad was even but firepit and table were down a hill. Great shade and hammock options. Spent several hours swinging and watching campers come and go. Showers were plenty hot and clean. Camp hosts were awesome and on top of things.
Camped about a quarter mile west of crazy jug point right on the edge! Very breezy so we didn't do a campfire. One heck of a drive on a scary forest service road. Use a hi clearance vehicle.
Very nice wooded campground. Not too crowded. My site was huge! Nice private showers too!
First time boondocking in a national forest. Had a big sight all to myself. Spent some time cleaning up from the previous individual who didn't understand the phrase "Leave No Trace". Other than that I had a great time.
Just got back from a 2 night mid week break. Huge campground. Friendly staff. Kids everywhere so be careful and drive slow. Not very buggy considering all the water nearby.
