Positives:
- Clean
- Very close to Cedar Point Park
- Friendly staff
- All you can eat pancake breakfast ($5)
- Water and electrical access
- Easy highway access
- Roads well kept
Negatives:
- One of the pools looks terrible (just needs a cover so you can’t see it until it gets cleaned fully)
- There’s a highway right across the tree line. While this is nice for travel, it was also really loud each morning to wake up to.
This beautiful location is wonderful to wake up to. Bison on the hills around. Prairie dogs galore! Coyotes howling in the distance. Wonderful scenery!
However, this site offered no water and no availability for cooking unless you brought your own stove. There were however bathrooms and specific places to hitch up your horse. Hopefully your horse will not need water.
Both morning I woke up to deer eating right outside my tent. You rise to mountains surrounding on all sides. Pure beauty! Further, the bathrooms are spotless. Keep in mind that you have to buy wood and it’s not sold every day.
Further, the staff were very kind.
Ask for hiking, you can set off from the campground, and buses leave from there towards some other hiking points.
Very low humidity. Saw staff cleaning the bathroom as I woke up. Lake is a bit murky but beautiful.
