Unbelievable!

Awesome place to stay. 10 day limit, FREE. Started out in a spot in the shade. To cold. Next morning I moved to a spot in the sun 🌞, well, under a tree, so it was both, sunny and shade. Very clean. No trash. Bathrooms were clean with one exception. The toilet was steel, butt Free with TP. It was right on the lake. I stayed 4 days. I could have stayed longer, but time to move on. Westbound and Down. Definitely have this one marked down as a favorite.

Nice Place

Nice place for overnighting. Or camp for the 3 day limit. Nice clean park. Sites have concrete picnic tables. But bring a fly swatter for the mosquitoes. A couple got into my home on wheels and when I killed them they left a big bloodstain. Otherwise not a bad place. Is there is a shell gas station across the street for food and guess. They did have 2 bathroom houses only one of them was clean. No showers. There were water spickets all over the place. I don't know if it's potable or not. It was dry camping so I already came prepared. You do need a permit for 3 day stay limit. You can obtain one by going on the website and calling and talk to Brandy she will email you one. This is a County park.

I'll be back

Stopped in to camp 🏕. Their booked solid for a Hunt. November, January. I rode around to check it out and that's why I said I'll be back. Nice place. Wide open field to park any where there is a fire ring. Sites have a fire ring, and a grill. Also water, non portable. Flushable toilets 🚻. The sites are nice and Wide. All for FREE. You do have to make online reservation.

Nice Place

Nice place to spend a couple days. Food shopping right across the street, Publix. Also a couple take out places. Campground itself was clean, quiet, a little road noise, oh well. Otherwise, peaceful. Bring your own water. No electricity. Vault toilet. That wasn't cleaned for a while, it stunk pretty bad. #2, Publix across the street. I'd stay again. 15 minutes from Hudson Beach ⛱. I love the beach. Tarpon Springs, half hour away. Oh yeah, gas is right next door, Racetrack. Everything else 10 minutes away.

Beautiful Place

Stayed there on my way home, for FREE. Went straight to the office for my permit, within 10 minutes of talking and laughing with the receptionist I had my permit. It was my 1st time there so I just chose site number 1. It was just a big open parking lot with a few sites. The sites had rock fire rings. No tables. When it's free, I don't complain. Site 1 was near the road. Every once and a while I'd hear a car. So. One night a ranger tap on my window to make sure I was okay. Thank you to the Park Ranger. There was a bathroom, walking distance from the site, vault with TP locked to a bar. I will go back. But I'll try other sites.

Camped twice

Stayed here in August, of course it was hot. Didn't bother me. No problems at all. Clean restrooms, clean hot showers. Flushable toilets. The Host was a nice guy. Stayed a second time in October. Close to Lake City for shopping. So far a favorite. 👍

A Hideaway

First of all, locked gate. You have to make a free reservation to get the combination. I camped at the primitive side. At the fork bare right then immediately turn right. You'll see the Port-a-John. Port-John was clean with TP. But who doesn't carry TP with them. The grass needed to be cut, it was up above my ankles. Overall, not bad.

Very Nice and Quiet

First of all the campground host was a very nice gentleman. He even calle me sir. The bathrooms were impeccably clean. Flush toilets, hot showers. My sight was Blacktop with a fire ring and picnic table and water. That's all I needed. It was so quiet you could hear a flea flying around your ear. I'm heading further south and will be returning here to stay here on my return trip North.
