This campground has 17 RV type site with full hookup and 5 tent sites that I don’t think have electricity. They have a store with a very nice area to hang out on handmade rocking chairs and swings. Community fire pit and small game room with pool table. They are known for fishermen coming and hanging out for the day to fish off the wall for mullet. They have 5 cabins. One small bathroom 1 shower toilet sink for men and the same for women (this is why I gave 4 stars), luckily both times we stayed here we were the only people without a bathroom in our camper. They recently purchased more land next door and now have a private boat ramp that they are planning on making even better than the pictures and video show. They currently have room for 7 boats to be tied off and trailer parking. They are located on Mud River and you can kayak to Mud Spring or if you have a boat you can get to Weeki Watchee River and the Gulf very easily. They have a very nice long fish cutting table perfect for anyone coming in off the water.
I can’t say too much about this campground because I didn’t stay here. We say the sign and wanted to check it out so we just talked to the nice people in the office and they told us to take our time. The campground looked like nice decent size sites. They have 5 cabins available. A cute playground, volleyball area and a covered, screened in pool. The spring wasn’t anything amazing but definitely a way to cool off here in the Florida heat. I will definitely be staying here in the future.
This RV campground was very nice but not a lot of shaded spots. Very nice bathroom but depending on your site it could be a little walk. They also have 2 washers and 2 dryers available. Not all the sites had a fire pit but they could be moved if there was an empty site. They have a separate tent campground that is close to the spring but is currently not in use and I can not speak on that one. The RV campground has a pool with covered picnic tables and grills. The Springs are at least a 10 minute walk but they do have it paved. Most of the guests had golf carts so it wasn’t bad for them, we chose to drive to the springs after we made the walk once. I took a star away because we stayed here during the week and were woken up at 7 two days in a row from them mowing and weeding. They weren’t packed and could have started away from many of the campers but chose to start right by our site. The springs are beautiful and there is a nice boardwalk. There is a store by the springs and you can rent kayaks and canoes.
I have been here every year for the past 4 years, the campground is clean, they all have a picnic table and fire ring. Wild deer can be spotted through out the entire park including walking through your camp site. Beware raccoons will go through your stuff in the middle of the day not just at night. The spring here is beautiful and a short walk from the different camping loops. They have a BBQ place by the spring and a mini store. Also they have canoe, kayak and pontoon boat rentals. Nice boardwalk out to the Suwannee river. I took away one star because the bathrooms could be updated but they aren’t horrible.
