The campground is close to everything in Grand Marais which is nice not have to drive. The bathrooms are very clean, but if you want a hot shower good luck. The sites are small for any big rig(s) and you are very close to your neighbor, so if you don’t like close proximity this is not a campground for you. The views are beautiful from the marina. The campground is very family friendly.
We stayed here last year and it was fun although if you like quiet nights I would not recommend it. It does get loud into the night. It has a swimming beach that is ok. You can spend extra money to go horseback riding on trails. The sites are very close together not much privacy.
This was one of The cleanest campgrounds I have ever stayed at. The sites are large and very well shaded for privacy. Great playground and hiking area. Some sites are difficult to back into if you have a large rig.
Stayed here when we got our first camper and it is nicely shaded large sites. Great walking paths and clean restrooms. Great for a quick weekend camping trip.
Great campground with lots of fun activities. Has a pool to cool down on a hot day. Sites are nice size some with decent tree coverage.
Great fishing lake! This campground provides boat rental and a swimming beach. Sites are a little small but have a nice view of the lake. Playground for the kids was decent. The beach was ok.
Nice size campground for Rvs and tents. Some sites have nice tree coverage some don’t. Some sites have fantastic views of the lake. I felt the campsites were a little on the small size. Bathrooms were clean. Nice playground for the kids and steps down to the lake to hike was nice.
Adorable family campground on a farm that has nice large campsites. The campground revolves around children. A huge playground, pony rides, animal parades and mini golf are only a few things that happen at Red Barn. The 126 year old barn on the premises holds barn dances, and indoor movies. 5 min to the nearest beach and cute downtown Shell Lake.
