Nice campsite right of of US 95

Nice clean campsites. Boat and vehicle access. Nice place during salmon and steelhead seasons.

Nice campground on Dworshak Reservoir

Dent Acres has a lot of campsites maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers. There is lake access, a nice pavilion for large picnics. There is day use boat trailer parking and an upper lot of those camping overnight. A nice fish cleaning station, bathrooms, and abundant wildlife viewing. There is a nice group campsite just down the road that is part of this campground.

Little North Fork offers great fishing

Not many places to camp, but great fishing for cutthroats and rainbows. Takes a while to drive in, but well worth it once you are there!

Beautiful place

Work outing so a great place for a large group with multiple options for tent camping. Great fishing and hiking.

Great place for a group

A lot of opportunity for camping; single sites, group, even trailer or RV sites, but no hookups. Nice place for a family that may have different likes. Fishing and hiking and wildlife viewing. Hunting access in the fall.

I love this place

This campsite offers access to great fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, and wildlife viewing.

My favorite place to camp and fish in Idaho

I love camping along the North Fork Clearwater River! Great fishing and many sites to choose from along the river. I have camped a several sites here and will continue to come back time and time again. Great wildlife viewing, access for fishing and hunting. I love driving up to the top of the Isabella Creek road for viewing Mountain Goats! Bring a really good pair of binoculars or a spotting scope though, they are on the other side of the canyon, but well worth the wait. Best viewing times are at sunrise and sunset. Remember that Bull Trout are listed on the Endangered Species List as threatened, so they are catch and release ONLY! Cutthroats are great. Cool to see the Kokanee spawn in the fall.

Small but pretty

I only camped here one night. The tent sites are well cared for. Pit toilets are clean. It is quiet and pretty, but kind of a small area.

Small but beautiful

Grandad campground is kind of small. I have seen a few camp trailers here, but there are no hookups, no electricity, more primitive camping with a men's and women's pit toilet. There is boat access which can give great access to the Little North Fork and North Fork Clearwater River. Gets kind of crowded around the summer holidays. Also provides a great place to access forest land for hunting.

A little bit of everything!

Freeman Creek at Dworshak State park has great opportunity for all levels of camping. Tent sites, RV/Trailer sites, or a few small primitive cabins (no bathrooms or kitchens in the cabins). There is also access to the reservoir for boating, fishing or to mini-camp sites all along the reservoir. Kokanee fishing is great from March to about late July. The spawn begins in August, so the fish move up the reservoir as the season progresses. Smallmouth bass fishing is great! The Idaho state Smallmouth record was caught in this lake. Day use parking is available for a small fee. For Idaho residents with the State Parks pass reduces the fee. A lot of wildlife viewing too! If you are lucky you may see a black bear feeding on blackberries, deer are numerous, elk frequent the lake, and one of my favorites is to watch Osprey dive in the lake for fish.

I have been at this park in every month of the calendar, but only camped from April thru October.

Great location

Moose Creek Reservoir is a great place for a little peace and quiet. Nice bass fishing for a smaller reservoir. Campsites are well cared for. Beautiful location and a lot of scenery.
