This was such a cute Park in the middle of a farm, about a mile outside of a small town near San Antonio. We stayed a few nights on our way to the shore. It would have gotten 5 stars but it didn't have showers and someone was blowing leaves early every morning we were there, so not very quiet.
This campground was very nice, just a hop from the beach and very well kept. It had bathrooms and cold showers. It was pretty busy while we were there, but everyone was great about respecting social distancing.
After spending time at PINS with the surf and soft sans, this was a good, calm change. The cost is less that the other side of the island, but it's so much better.
During fair weather this beach is great! It's hard pack, natural she'll sand, easy to drive on and we'll kept. However, we experienced a cold front this week (Thanksgiving week 2020) that was very difficult. The wind was treacherous coming off the bay, the surf was angry. It was not the beaches fault of course, but from what I have heard it's pretty common here.
