Great place to visit Taos From

Found this gem after disappointing results closer to Taos. It’s brand new so it’s having some growing pains. Great stopover on a fly by.

Beautiful views

If you are a hiker this is a great place for you. The Canyan views are great and the wildlife peaks out in the early mornings.

Bathrooms and showers are kept clean!

Don’t stop here

The place is run by a cantankerous old man who thinks he’s got the Taj Mahal. The place had no bathrooms, no showers and no water although clearly advertised as such. When I balked at the 40$ price for a simple parking spot he became quite belligerent.

Peaceful and very quiet

Nice area especially if you are into kayaking or ATVs. The kayak rental here was seasonally closed but was open at nearby Silver Springs. Campground is well maintained, bathhouse clean. Staff was friendly.

Would have liked a little more space between campsites for a bit more privacy.

Wonderful Area

Great spot for those looking to get off the grid. Camped right along the river. Autumn colors in full display.

Campground is first come first serve. Potable water available.
