Affiliated with the casino. Inexpensive with full hookups. Pet friendly and people friendly. Some full timers but a nice place. Transportation to and from casinos provided.
Reserve online to assure a spot. Every single space is HUGE, even the tent only sites. Lake views are everywhere. There are various loops for tents and RV's. Water for tents; water and electric for campers. 2 different dump sites. Firewood in 2019 is $5. Must be in the campground by 8 pm before the gates are locked.
Beaches will be cleaned up after heavy spring rains. Plenty of sand for swimming, boat docks, and fishing.
Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh easy drives for sightseeing. Weekend camping traffic is gone and there has been silence.
Will probably be crazy here in the summer but would like to return in the fall mid-week.
A very friendly place for people and pets. A storm was coming in and they called to check our ETA to let us know set up might be critical. Plenty of hiking trails. Activity room being remodeled after a flood. Pool looked nice but it was too early in the season to be open. An activity director is on hand for various programs and hiking recommendations.
Great place to spend some time. People and pet friendly. Adult and under 18 pools open seasonably. Gated and campers are given individual codes to get in after hours. Only negative is that they were working on remodeling their activity center. So, evening functions were limited.
Very neat, clean and wooded campground. Large sites. Boating. Swimming. Close to interstates but not noisey. Can accommodate large rigs and have an open area for those traveling in tandum.
Pet and people friendly. Convenient to everything in the Kitty Hawk and Nags Head area. Summer fees were about $60/night, which is a bit pricey but beats a hotel. Spacious sites.
