Just passing through and nice place to pull in with our trailer and stay hitched. Wish the site was more level but a couple leveling blocks fixed it. Nice that they are open year round.
We wanted to camp 6 days near Hilton Head and this campground opened up late last year. They invested heavily in the camp ground. Large concrete sites easy to back in. Clean, pretty setting. Pool , club house , bar, dog park, dog washing station. even the laundry is first class. 10 miles into downtown Hilton head with biking, hiking, kayaks and lots of gators
We stayed here for 3 nights and thought well of the park. The place was meticulously clean and the permanent campers keep their sites so well. The pool was warm, clean and enjoyable. There’s a nice playground and a GaGa pit. There’s lots of space to walk your dog on leash but no dog park. We had an issue with our surge protector and the manager had an electrician out to us quickly who helped us solve a problem. Pleasant staff in the camp store. The laundry area and shower rooms are beautiful and clean.
There is nothing to do in the immediate area, but we were there to use the bike trails and bop around Jim Thorpe…about 25 minutes away via pretty country roads.
This campground is perfect for a quiet visit to the Eastern shore town of Rock Hall as It sits conveniently between the village of Rock Hall and Eastern Neck sanctuary. The area reserved for RV campsites overlooks a bluff on the Chesapeake Bay….gorgeous. Because we went in the middle of the week, we had a lot of space to our self and open areas for our dog to play. Admittedly there isn’t a lot to do in the campground itself, even the bathrooms were closed down for Covid and only self contained RVs could camp. There is a small playground and a dog park, and a small pond for fishing. Sewer hook ups are not yet available but they are coming. Purchasing the WiFi access was a waste of money and our Verizon signal was very weak. The biggest attraction is the view over the Bay. So if you are looking for beautiful scenery and a cooling breeze this is a lovely and relaxing place. We met the owner who was very attentive to our needs and also helped us use the dump station as this was the maiden voyage with our new RV. The campground is clean and nicely landscaped. Be sure to go into the town of rock Hall for a seafood dinner at Waterman’s.
