Quiet campground in lodgepole pine

This is a free campground. It has about 7 sites, not paved. I loved it! It is one step above dispersed camping as there is a clean pit toilet. Lodge pole pine all around.

Worth the drive

Very crowded in summer. Pit toilet. Tent camping. Very steep final approach on dirt road. Very beautiful lake with Salomanders. If your lucky to have the lake to yourself it can be very quiet except for wildlife sounds. It is possible to kayak with easy access

Just down the road

This is Santiam State campground that is for basically tent camping. Water and Pit toilet. Some sights next to Butte Creek. The best part is that you very close to Butte creek water falls.

Quick getaway

live in Molalla and this a quick 3 miles down the road. The park is a small county park that has a day use area with group day use site rentals. The day use area is on the banks of the Molalla river. There is a playground for the kids and swimming in the river. The campground is 1 row of (I THINK) about 8 spots nestled along a creek away from the day use area. Lots of trees and grass. Just around the corner down the road is the Shady Dell railroad park that has summer fun for kids and adults to ride trains for a donation. Going the other way you go into the Molalla river corridor that offers fishing and hiking.
