Quiet, secluded, but easily accessible

Among the trees on a dirt road off the highway not far from crater lake. One large lot that had several RVs parked when we went and a few small slots among the trees a bit further up the road.

No amenities —just a nice spot among the trees.

Did find a butchered deer abandoned in the back of our spot in the morning but would still recommend.

Thought we were at the end of the road (passed the big lot, and another slot before pulling into our slot) but truck drove past us in the morning and didn’t come back so there must be more to see further down.

No cell service - excellent dark spot for stargazing.

Wake up to a view

Arrived here after dark and woke up to a stunning beach view.

Well lit (for better for worse) rest stop right off 101. There’s a bit of separation from the highway which makes it quieter and more private. When we went in off season (mid-November) there was only 1 other van there but there are probably 15 spots total.

Several picnic tables and clean flushable toilets are a plus.

Short, 30 second walk to the beach.

Highly recommend!

Chamberlain Lake Rest Stop

Quiet (and dark) rest stop with a view of the water. Several picnic tables, flushable toilets and reliable ATT service.

Planned on staying the night at the Memaloose rest stop across the way in OR but it bright, noisy, was practically on highway 84, and full of semis.

This rest stop is just across the water ($2 toll for the bridge) and on a much quieter road.
