Spent an afternoon and evening here and met a friend whom lives locally. Lots of shade trees, level sites many right on the water. I found the water pressure too strong for my class b as the pressure caused a link under my sink. Convinced me to purchase my own water pressure resistor gauge.
County equestrian and RV park close to downtown. Stayed here recently while attending an LSU football game. They have a shuttle that provides round trips to the stadium. Nothing fancy about Farr Park, just convenient if you love horses and football.
Spent an evening here recently this fall and the park didn’t disappoint. Very nice site with grill, fire pit and table surrounded by big oak trees and right on the lake. Lots of trails and fishing.
Spent a night here on my way back from the coast. Nice KOA with everything you could need to be a happy camper. Very friendly and helpful office staff as well.
Nice sites by the beach. Tables could use some work but the sites are level and functional. County park close to the pier with a place to eat and drink.
Enjoyed a night here before visiting USS Lexington and Port Aransas. My site was right on the gulf and the view was great. Very friendly office staff. Level site with full hookups. I recommend and will return.
Enjoyed a night here. Nice, clean, open RV park on Lake Lavon. It’s well established but in good shape. Big level RV sites with grills and covered tables. You’ll enjoy this park!
Had a great time at this park. The site was perfect and level. Grill and covered picnic table. Excellent for hiking and boating. You can’t go wrong with Cedar Hill State Park.
Enjoyed two nights at this KOA. Very friendly staff and great sites. Location appears to be in an urban setting but you don’t get that feeling once onsite.
What can I say? PK State Park is beautiful with full hookups right on the lake. All the facilities you need are here and in good shape. Highly recommend!
They tell you to go pick out a spot and then call it in to them. Most of the sites had no number and I told the office this. Rather than help, she argued with me and was very nasty. When I said I wanted a refund, they could not provide it. A guy finally helped me but I will never stay at this place again. Lots of shady long term residents. The whole place is just old and dated. Avoid….
Visited this private resort on 9/14/19 for a quick night away from the city. They have a handful of full hookup RV sites and cabins. There is also a marina with a store and kayaks for rent. I’ll definitely return for the lakeside sites. Quiet place, well worth a visit!
Barefoot camp has been around for ever and I can see why. It’s on private property and you have to drive about 7 miles down a road with cattle guards. Anything over 24ft take it easy. You can walk to the Colorado River and swim or float. The cliffs are amazing. Very close to Colorado Bend State Park. This is my favorite campsite in Texas so far 🚐
Private ranch that has opened some of their property for tents and RVs. Seems like less that 20 RV hook-ups, water and electric 30/50 available. Only 3 other campers here. Very quiet and beautiful setting and as close as you can get to Enchanted Rock. Big 👍🏻
Enjoyed a night here. Site was right on the water. Level and clean. Lots of hiking trails. You really can’t go wrong with Johnson Branch on Lake Ray Roberts.
Very clean KOA right next to Choctaw casino. They have a shuttle that comes right to your spot to take you to the casino. Cable tv and a great pool as well! Great place!
Big, beautiful Texas State Park. Very clean and nice level camping sites. The beach area was closed due to past flooding and cleaning but all else was open. My rig and I enjoyed site 136 🚐
Here’s a pic of my rig in spot 44b at Hidden Cove Park this past Saturday. This is a private run campground for tents and RVs. They also have cabins and a bunkhouse for rent. Great full service restaurant and marina where you can rent all types of water toys. Had a great time and I’ll return soon.
Had a great time staying in the “Streaker” at Tin Valley Retro Rentals 6/21-24. Highly recommend as an escape from your daily routine. Rhonda is very cool and will make sure all of your needs are met. The star viewing cannot be beat!
Stayed a night at this park. I preregistered and thought I was ready to go. The gate guard said I still had to go inside to check-in. They couldn’t find all of my info and it took forever to get straightened out. The State employees made me feel like a criminal. Ridiculous!
