Right on the beach.

This was our second time to stay here.  We stayed in October of 2021, we liked it enough to come back and have our kids and their families meet us here.

The beach is a very short walk and it is a very nice beach.  At low tide you can walk out to the tide pools where you can see various marine life including starfish.

The park will lend you crab traps, go down to Charleston piers and catch your supper.  They also have a great cleaning and cooking station.

On our latest visit our children and grand children stayed in the cottages they have on site.

Make sure and visit Shore Acres State Park just south of the RV park.  When there in October the storms had the waves crashing sixty feet over the rocks and the botanical gardens are amazing.

Nice RV park.

Stayed one night.  They have a free shuttle to the casino that runs until Midnight.  We went to the casino for supper.  While the restaurant was smoke free the main casino was not.  It reminded me of the going through Las Vegas casinos.

The RV facilities are very nice.  The sites have a good amount of space between them.

The park is a Good Sam park so we received a discount.

We would stay here again.

No Baa Humbug!

Have driven by this park without stopping… We finally stayed two nights and I'm glad we did.  There is electric and water for hookups with a dump station.

The park is next to the highway so you do get highway noise.  There is a trial that leads down under the highway to the beach.

The sites have reasonable distance between them with picnic tables and fire rings.  Nice restrooms and showers.

One of the reasons we stayed here was to hike Humbug Mountain, one of the highest on the coastline.

It is a fairly easy hike, about three miles with an elevation gain of 1748 ft.  Good trail and dogs are welcome, mine pulled me up the mountain and then down…

Nice campground, we will be back.

Nice stop while visiting Crater Lake.

Campsites are nestled among large pines.  Your site may not see much sun but the trees add their own warmth.

The campground is not far from Crater Lake National Park, about 25 miles so it is conveniently located to visit the Park.

Nice, fairly new restrooms and showers.  The campsites for the most part have good separation.

We ate at the pizza/brewery place across the road and it was great.

Nice campground, but no shade.

We have stayed here twice, both times with family.  We came here to meet up with family in the area and other family stay camped here also.

The first time the campground was going after some award and everything was very clean and service was great.  The second time the bathrooms weren't cleaned as frequently and the service in the office wasn't as good.

We stayed here in the fall and then in the spring so the weather was pleasant.  There are no trees so no shade so in the summer it could be hot during the day.

Wi-fi was worthless so don't count on it.

Palisade has several festivals so check them out.  We rented e-bikes from Rapid Creek Cycles and toured several wineries in the area, a great time.

I will be back here, it is a great place to stay while visiting family and exploring the area.

Convenient, right off the interstate, next to the Columbia River.

Our second stay here. Our first time we were next to the highway, this time next to the river.  As stated in other reviews you have the sound of the highway or the sound of the trains.  Neither bother us.

The campsites have enough room between them so that you don't feel crowded.  We had full hookups although some sites don't have full hookups.

It is a great site to stop for a night.

If you get the chance take the old highway 30 that runs on the gorge rim above this site, the views are well worth the slight detour.

Great views... not a lot of privacy.

Very popular campground.  We got in through a cancellation.

The campsites on the lower loop are side by side, not a lot of space between them.  This seems to be a popular site for families and boaters.

Electric with no sewer, water spigots are located around so you can fill your fresh tank.

Great access to Flathead Lake.

Very nice state park.

I have known of this site for many years but just recently experienced it. On Flathead Lake with views of the lake. Choose loop B if you want electric. Loop A doesn't have electric and is closer to the highway. Good trails to the lake. There is a place to rent kayaks and paddle boards. The campground is only about 5 miles south of Lakeside where you can purchase anything you might need or have a meal at the Tamarack Brewery.

Great Place to Relax

We have been going by the turn off for Lake Mary Ronan for years.  Finally last year we decided to visit this state park with our travel trailer.  We loved this campground from the minute we drove in.

The sites are big with good space in between sites.  Most of the sites have 50amp electrical hookups.  There is a water spigot on the left as you start to go around the campground loop.  There is not a dump station at the campground.  Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table.

If you don't feel like cooking you can continue up the road to the Mountain Meadows Bar and Grill for pub food.  Go a little further up the road to Lake Mary Ronan Lodge for an upscale dinner.

The campground has a very nice group site with six sites.

In the evenings the campground is quiet and dark, a great place to view stars.

The lake is great for kayaking, boating and is known for great fishing.

Nice vista's so no trees...

Nice level gravel site. Sites are close to each other. There were no picnic tables and wood fires are not allowed so no fire rings. My guess for the no fires rule is because you would be smoking out your neighbor which I can appreciate because we have had to close our windows because of other folks smoke. Frost free spigots were good especially since the weather at night was below freezing. The proximity to Fairmont hot springs is great and we took advantage of the pools.

Sits above Starvation Reservoir

The campsite was a pull through, fairly large with a picnic table and fire ring. There is a nice dog walk/path with a great view of the reservoir at the end of the path. When we were there it was very windy and cold so our time outside was limited.

Listen to the creek...

We choose this site because it is directly across the street from the hotspring pools. Our campsite, 10, was right beside the creek. The temps were below freezing but they have frost free spigots. Wifi was non existent. To get to the hotspring pools we walked behind the motel portion of the property were people had walked their dogs without cleaning up. There are other campgrounds in town but the location to the pools and the creek are the best part of this campground.

Great campground.

Very nice facility, very clean and well kept. Good wifi.
