Snow canyon state park has beautiful red rock, great hiking trails
Beautiful lake, no formal campsites
Beautiful area, clean cool air
Sites have new hook ups and bathrooms. Nicely done! Bison are plentiful and we even had one walk through camp.
We stayed in early June so the creek was gushing with water and it was nice to sleep to the sound of running water. We dispersed camped in our trucks. It was a great area for an overnight stop on our way to Yellowstone from Salt Lake City. Town was only about 5-10 minutes away but we felt very isolated and area was private.
We were there in early June and they had a cold front coming in with snow! Campground was for tent camping, no hookups.
This is a great location within the Natl Park as it allows you to drive to great sightseeing and hikes that are close
Great place to see some wildlife and you are still relatively close to the city. I saw Bison, coyote, cool spiders and tons of birds and insects.
Campground is more remote so it’s great if you want to get away from large crowds. Higher elevation so you escape some of the summer heat. Fishing is good for trout.
Good fishing (trout, Kokanee salmon, bass). It can get crowded in the summer. Lots of boat traffic
Quail Creek has great trout and bass fishing. It is also a fun place for tubing behind a boat.
Sand Hollow has great large mouth bass fishing and beautiful red rock scenery.
Fish Lake is nearby and it has good trout fishing. Fish Lake is a high mountain lake with beautiful scenery. You can rent boats or fish from shore.
Utah Lake State Park gets a lot of users both day users and overnight. It is pretty close to population centers.
I like to go to fish. There are a lot of catfish and white bass. Some walleye. The kids like to swim though the water is a little muddy in some parts
This campground is beautiful with red rock formations and excellent choices for short and longer hikes to natural rock arches.
Site 26 is great as it is a short walk down to the cove for swimming and kayaking.
8800 ft of elevation—escape the heat. Great fishing. Site 5 is my favorite, just a short walk to the reservoir
I got a site right by the creek. Set up my hammock and listen to the running water.
Only negative is the site is off the main canyon road and there is some traffic noise during the day.
