Not a bad spot except for the bugs… I’m used to the outdoors but these were fierce! We left right before the gun range opened at 8am. Picnic tables were at each site. We picked a site that backed up to the water and were visited (from a hundred feet away, thankfully) by a gator! For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend swimming back there. Only one other site was in use during the one night we were there, and they were nice enough to stop blasting their music once the sun went down.
Easy drive on paved road until you reach the GPS coordinates (I wouldn’t have seen the little gravel road if I hadn’t been looking for it). Take the little road for a mile or so until you reach the circle at the end. We loved it because there was no chance of hearing any cars and the animal noises were fantastic. We were glad to have a bug net — probably a necessity for this site!
Beautiful campsites along the lake. Parking spots above near road and then some stairs down to a campfire ring, picnic table, and flat surface for a tent by the lake. We camped in the truck and had no issues with traffic since the sites are on a side-road off the main road.

I stayed here two nights because it was so beautiful! It is a little close to the main road, as others have mentioned, but it was still removed enough for me to feel remote. The creek is loud and the trees offered privacy. It is a pull-thru so it would be convenient for trailers, too.
