We stayed here for 2 nights 3 days. The spots are not level and where we were was next to a bridge that rvs couldnt cross. I had to back out turn around and then back down the road to get my trailer onto my site. The water and electric is by the road so bring extra hose and cord.
Bathrooms werent tended to as I would expect.
Plus side is you're right next to the mountain bike trailhead, can walk to town, and they have lake frontage on a smaller lake to swim in.
I would up this rating if the park was better cared for and was cleaned as I would expect for the price paid.
After looking for campgrounds in the area to visit the tunnel of trees we found this location. Not much to do but park and visit the city and surroundings.
The campground is by the water and is set up mostly for campers. Id visit again but would also look for another campground with more to do.
You won't find much here but its all you need to relax. I have stayed here twice now and love it. 17 sites (I think) with water and electric hookup. But a full field for rustic camping if the others are full.
The family that runs the site is super nice and friendly. This is for sure my goto in this area.
We found this site by accident looking to visit the locks. There isnt a lot to do in the park but watch the freighters but thats why we wanted to go. Minutes to town and the locks, tours and more. I will be back for a waterfront spot.
We landed here just by chance with no plans and found a huge lot open. Stayed 3 nights and every night was breathtaking. From the sunset to the waterfront spot it was perfect. Restrooms were close and more. Super friendly staff close to everything you would want to do in Munising.
We decided to go on a two week no plans but travel trip and found this campground by mistake and so happy we did. Super nice family-owned location with showers, wifi and so much more. You are just a 1-minute walk from the lake. You for sure will not be disappointed with the decision to stay here.
