Usually we arrive at the coast in December. Rain, wind, and limited dining places. June is sunny and fickle. Might blow up to 40 MPH and not a lot to do. The park has a small putting green, the sites vary in size, with full hook ups. Some have great views next to the bay.
Realize this is basically an ATV staging site newly owned by the county. Greatly improved paved roads and facilities. Not recommended as a plain camping area without motorized toys.
Only 40 sites, each site is unique in size and depth. Handicapped accessible walking trail about one mile around campground. No ATV access, you will need to drive down the road to a day use site with adjacent dune access. Quiet. No utilities. Flush toilets, no showers. Water faucets but not to fill tanks. One bar on phone, so if you want to disconnect, this is the place. Nice amount of bushes and trees between sites. Some sites are full sun, most are partially shaded. Hidden from the crazy coast wind.
