Great camping on a pretty lake

Been here for a couple days now , parked in a nice flat spot above the reservoir. They stock this with rainbow trout if your a fisherman. Great Verizon service here , mountains are beautifull. There is some road noise from 24 at times as it is quite close. But the scenery here is exceptional.

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful lake!

Beautiful lake in Piute County near Antimony Utah. Large, level spot less than 6 yards from the water. A few large trees provide nice shade. There was even a picnic table.

Decent gravel roads made access easy. There were 3 different vault toilet locations nearby. Otter Creek State Park as well as a couple of RV parks and a store with a cafe are at one end of the lake.

Went kayaking at sunrise, the water was warm and smooth as glass! Be careful finding the right area to put in your kayak. We chose to do so along the shoreline near where we were camped, but sunk mid-calf in mud at the water's edge.

Saw lots of fish jumping in the water as well as ducks, gulls, geese, pelicans and more. Watched a deer stop by for a drink and a cow cross my camping spot.

The downside was pretty much no cell phone coverage.

Secluded Site, Beautiful Views

Off Hwy 12, onto FR294, 1.8 miles, turn right onto Tom's Best Spring Road (FR117). Drove about 2.2 miles down a wide, well-maintained gravel road (FR117), turned right onto FR 268, drove about 0.5 miles.

Gorgeous views of the mountains, meadows and woods! Secluded!! Never saw another vehicle on FR268. There were more campers closer to the entrance off Hwy 12, but fewer the further down you go. Dozens and dozens of camping sites, most with fire pits already built.

10 miles from Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo. Great little rodeo held at 7pm Wednesday thru Saturday nights. $14 adults, $9 kids. End of May thru end of August.
