My husband and I stayed here over labour day weekend and we really enjoyed the place. Our site was a premium waterfront (worth every penny), the view was lovely, we had coffee and watched the ducks every morning. The campground was packed of course, and there sites are fairly close, but the fact that they haven't developed every inch of this property is what makes it great! Lots of lovely giant cypress trees and lots of places to walk our dogs and enjoy the scenery and the river. The other added bonus was the restaurant/bar just at the entrance, great live music and good burgers all within walking distance to our trailer!! We would definitely stay here again!
This place is close to San Antonio, but the sites are sardene like and there si no shade. This is an ok place to spend a night but nothing really nature about it.
I am a little biassed because this place is mine, but if you are looking for a non commercial natural environment………boulderdash is great! It only has 3 RV sites 2 50 amp 1 30 amp and a rustic roughing it site for tents. There is also a cabin that sleeps 7 for those who don't have a camper.
We have stayed here several times! Spaces are nice, there room between campers and the huge oaks give lots of shade!
