We stayed here on a passing thru option so didnt get the full flavor. The beach area seemed a bit un kept. We decided it may have been due to storms that had passed through a week before. Really need to give it a better look.

The showers were very clean and accomodating. The grounds were mowed and there was awesome shade throughout.

Turkey Point is on the North side of Melvern lake. We have been going to this campground for about 10 years. The camp hosts have always been very accomodating. WELL MAINTAINED and facilities are very clean. Most of the sites are not real close to one another and some are right on the water. Plenty of primitive spots are on the bank.

I highly recommend Turkey Point.

Hawker Point campground together with the lake is great. The campground was well kept, mowed, clean and fellow campers were friendly while at the same time respectful of others .

The lake is to die for. Water was clear clean and like glass. We have kayaks so our morning trips were accidently long, peaceful and awesome.

Make reservations early because it is full most of the time. Mon Tues, Wed seem to be the only openings if you wait too long.

Also, fill your rig with water before you go. There are no water hookups.
