Secluded and truly in nature

8 miles down a dirt road in the Bridger Teton Forest was absolutely worth it for these views. The sites were well spaced out, each site had a bear box, and the vault toilets were immaculate. The camp host was extremely knowledgeable about the campsites and was able to recommend ones suitable for my roof top tent and view preferences. Definitely worth it. Dont forget to check out the hot springs both the formal ones and the one by the waterfall!

Close, safe, and clean

Colter Bay was a gem to stay in. I stayed in a few different loops during my time there and had a great time at all of them. All of the spots were level and close to bathrooms (super clean and had dishwashing stations which was a huge plus). It was easy to pack up in the morning and head out on hikes early in the morning which was amazing. Some of the sites are close to each other and can be annoying if you have noisy neighbors but overall was a great choice for spending my time in the Tetons.

Amazing secluded spot

The drive to Bowman is anxiety inducing with the ever changing potholes, tight curves, and white knuckle driving. But it is 100% worth it for the secluded sites and lake views. It was nice to get away from the Glacier crowds and meet like minded camping people who wanted to experience the more wild side of Glacier. The vault toilets were decent and the bear boxes easy to use.
