Not far from the Roanoke River and right around the corner from Halifax, this spot is perfect for getting away from it all. Walking trails along the mountainside with small bridges over a creek offer a scenic view. Gazebo with grills and bathrooms are located a small walk from the tent sites.

This was a great little spot away from the hustle and bustle of the highway. Very close to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Pool was clean. Arcade on site. The office has almost anything you could think of so you shouldn’t have to leave. You may want to bring any Meats and veggies for cooking but other than that it is almost like a small general store! Cabins up the hill away from everyone if you wish to be slightly secluded. Small Black Bear wandered up and stole some burgers we left in the cooler and came back later to say hey and check up on us so be aware and keep your food under lock and key. Tried to get a picture but he ran as soon as he saw us moving. Overall a great experience. Wish the bathroom facilities were updated. Not a bad price for the overall experience. Had the white noise from the creek to keep us dead asleep at night.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Very clean facilities and pool area. Good selection of goods in the office groceries as well as RV accessories. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I believe the bathroom facilities could use a little updating but a great little campsite overall and worth the price.

If you want to get to a spot with the LEAST light pollution of anywhere in America, this is the place! You are able to see 3x the stars you can normally see anywhere else in America. This is a very remote location so be sure to bring what you need in with you and be sure to gas up before you come from Homestead. It is an hour at least from civilization. The campgrounds are well taken care of. One of my favorite campsites to escape everyone and everything. The showers could be updated but not terrible to be so far off of the beaten path. I would definitely recommend this campsite and would come back.

Handicapped beach access. Very clean restrooms and showers. Clean pool. RV Hoses and some accessories are available in the office. 3 Beach access. Large Gazebo overlooking the ocean. Will definitely go back.

Tent sites with electrical hook ups right beside the river. There is a fish cleaning sink and a pier to fish from also. Small cabins are for rent here as well. This facility has one of the cleanest pools I have ever been in. Very well kept bathroom facilities with a laundromat as well. Very friendly staff and guests here as well.
