Ernst Tinaja

Good primitive site with cover to the north and close to the tinaja trailhead. Lots of choices for tent placement in the sandy floor. One star knocked off because if you stay later than 9am you will start to see lots of traffic going to the tinaja trailhead. Site is directly next to the trailhead road. We didn't see anybody until morning came.

Buenos Aires 1

Great primitive site close the Rio Grande River and Mexican Border. We saw no one the entire time we were there. The road is fairly rough with some deep sand but any dirt road capable vehicle should be fine. One star knocked off because you can see the orange street lights from the Castolon area, although they do not impede the view of the stars. Awesome views all the way around.

Pine canyon 1

Awesome site, didn't see any other people while at camp. Dirt road was not bad going in. Good views up the canyon to the west and of the desert floor to the east.
