Very large camp ground with lots to do. There are wonderful trails throughout and the park is very bike friendly. The beach area where swimming as allowed is in need of some attention but all in all the park is very nice.
Very nice sites and very well maintained! The only real downside to the park is that the sites can be a bit tricky to get into with your camper and the pads can have a decent grade. The bath houses are big and clean with big sinks outside to do dishes. The lake is nice for boating and swimming.
I had high hopes for this campground but I was let down. My family and I only stayed for one night and that was enough. The site that we stayed in was littered with cigarette butts and chewing tobacco pouches. The staff consisted of mostly teenagers that were indifferent about customer service. The one positive I can say about this place is that it is loaded with things to do, but it is a very large campground and if you do not have a gulf cart it is a bit much to get around. This campground is in a great location to enjoy Mackinac. It’s sites are a little on the smaller side but the campground has a very nice beach on the lake and the bath and shower houses were very nice and well maintained. What made this a 5 star for me was the staff and the customer service. These people truly have a passion for what they do and it shows!
Nice place to stay with lots of outdoor recreation. Sites are not maintained as well as other state parks but still adequate. Pull through sites are just big enough for average size rigs. Back in sites are small but you can set up off of the designated pad. Guest campers were very friendly and helpful. We will be camping here again.
