The best way to describe this site and the landscape it provides is timelessness.

There was a moment where I truly felt life stood still, stars where shining down on our group and giving us the opportunity to see the beautiful scenes of Moab.

The hike wa great, medium difficulty, a lot of exposure, so pack in that sunscreen!! Fairly easy to navigate and once you've reached your site, you barely see anyone else at all!!

we stayed for two nights and really had a great time. soft ground made it an easy set up for camp. Nice and quiet during the evening and a great spot for paddleboarding too!

Home Mountain Reservoir, outside of Fort Garland, CO. Its located just off off Highway160 about 4 hours from Denver.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, but a town near by just incase you are forgetful as I usually am, then this is the place for you!

Free place to camp next to the reservoir with fire rimgs provided. Only issue is that other campers forget to pack out what they pack in!!
