Nice enough campground. Pretty quiet this time of year. Spaces are close together. Full hookups at every site. Clean park. Check in was super easy. Close to Nashville and all the things to see and do here.
Wonderful RV resort. We had to book it last minute once hurricane Ian took out the RV resort we were suppose to stay at up in Myrtle Beach. The check in was super easy. The RV resort is beautiful, wonderfully landscaped and close to many of the island amenities. While the lots are close together, most are landscaped in a way that provides plenty of privacy. Wood burning fires are not allowed. The pool is heated during the cooler month as and chilled in the summer. We had a blast and will absolutely be back. This will most likely be an annual
The beach was clean and fun. Not very busy when we were there, which was nice. We stayed on Campsite 208. Nice size campsite, which good shade. The campsite did have a bigger than expected slope, but nothing horrible. Some campsite s looked amazing and others looked to be in major need of some TLC. Most of the campsites were in need of a fresh layer of gravel for their parking pads. The restrooms were clean, and the hot water was plentiful for my shower. It would have been nice if there were pet station placed around the campground to make it easy for dog walkers to rid themselves of their full poop bags and to provide folks a place to get poop bags if they forgot to bring some. Overall a great weekend.
Great visit to Indiana Dunes. Our first time there. The campground was smaller than expected for such a popular place, and the campsites were a decent size. Very quiet campground and I suspect it being a “dry” campground may have something to do with that. The swimming beach was always busy, but we learned quickly to hike trail 7 to get to the quiet part of the beach. While the beach off of trail 7 is a no swimming beach, the kids enjoyed playing in the water. Enjoyed trail 2 and the walk on the boardwalk through the marsh. My only issue is the bathrooms and showers were crazy nasty, and you had to deal with the urine odor while showering. Met a lot of friendly people from all over the country. We camped with a small group of three families. All sites were well shaded for most of the day, with site 124 being full shade for the whole day. All sites were level and clean.
Went in October, but did not write review until December. Great place and want to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and pool. We had a nice level, shaded campground. Some sites are not level at all. So be sure to read up on the site you want before you book it.
Spent 5 nights and had a wonderful time. Enjoyed trails, big lots and lots of stuff for the kids to do.
