Great Spot during the winter (Temp 3-35°F). Basically have the whole area to yourself. Most people we saw only stayed the night due to the cold. Quick 10 min drive to Bryce city or 5 minutes to the Red Rock visitor center. Will definitely come back to this site when it a bit warmer.
Great campground, road up was not as bad as people had described. Did see a couple sedans parked up at the top but would recommend a vehicle with higher clearance.
Got to the campground around noon and 80% of the spots were full. But people were leaving after there hike so new spots became available later.
We forgot to check if we could take our dog on the hike but lucky you can go on the service road which was completely empty and still had amazing views.
Would have given the site a 5 but our spot had a lot of bees, thankfully they all disappeared once the sun started going down.
Great free spot. Lots of little loops and tables to set up by. There is also a gas station down the road if you need any small things.
My dog was out and about exploring, have yet to find a tick on him even a week later.
Amazing spot to camp for the night. Got there around 7pm and only one other person there. Was on the lower section near the road, despite being closer to the road only heard cars twice during the night.
Don’t forget your bug spray!
