We stayed here during treefort and were quite pleased. Sites are paved and quite level!

Minutes to downtown Boise. Super cheap and easy to Uber or Bike into town and back.

The bathrooms are so well maintained. They look brand new and almost untouched. Showers are the same. There aren’t really any amenities, but with Boise right there we really were only at the campground in the morning and at night which was nice.

There is an airport right next to the grounds so it can get a little noisy from the jets but it didn’t bother us too much.

Would definitely stay again during Treefort. Wayyy better than spending $1000+ on a hotel

Incredible little spot. We pulled in around an hour before sunset and found a beautiful site right on the river. Doesn’t look like there are a ton of spots so make sure to get there during daylight to be safe. It was super quiet and peaceful with no noise other than the river roaring which provided a great nights sleep!

The views are also stunning both at night and in the sunlight!

We made it through all the gravel roads fine (about 7 miles total) with our van pulling a 21ft travel trailer. Just go slow and you’ll be fine!

There is one bathroom available, but we didn’t use it.

We loved staying in the Redwoods! Such a peaceful and amazing place to dwell.

There are no hookups, so come prepared! We liked our little cozy spot. The actual sites are nice and spacious, but the area you have to park your rig are TINY, so it can definitely be difficult the bigger your rig is. I had a challenging time backing in our 21 ft trailer.

But once we were settled, we had a great stay and I wish we could have stayed longer!

They also have free coffee and tea at the visitor center that we took advantage of in the morning. Nice touch!

I think this park has potential but it seems like they are just trying to capitalize on quantity over quality.

The other reviews are accurate about it just being a glorified parking lot. Most rigs have an excellent view of their next door neighbors slide out.

When we arrived our neighbors truck was parked in our spot so we had to knock and ask him if he could move it. Then if we would both open our front doors at the same time, there would be a bit of an awkward “oops, sorry! You go first” situation.

A few of the site have their own lawns but I’m sure you’ll pay an arm and a leg for one of those.

Being so close to the ocean and the cool walkway that goes into Pacifica is very cool and probably the only thing saving this review from a 1.5 stars.

One night we hear other campers lighting off fireworks and it wasn’t even a holiday. This happened between 11pm and midnight.

On several occurrences, I spotted tweakers just pass right through the campground to get to the walk way since there isn’t any form of gate or anything.

Probably wouldn’t stay here a second time.

We love Tall Chief because it is super close to a lot of great spots around the Seattle region.

It’s super close (like 7 min drive) from one of my favorite coffee shops, Aroma Coffee Co. Try it! You won’t be disappointed!

Tall Chief’s biggest perk is probably how nice they keep the park. Bathrooms are usually found to be immaculate. The main bathrooms have a great “spa” feeling to their design and make you feel like you are glamping.

Most sites are pretty big too. We can easily fit our trailer, tow vehicle, and extra vehicle and still have space!

No sewer connections which can be a bummer, but the nice bathrooms make up for it imo.

The staff are always super nice and helpful.

Another thing that can be annoying is trying to find a site with good cell reception due to all the trees. They definitely have a few, but I would say arrive early so you can drive by all the sites while checking to make sure you have good reception if you need it.

I’m getting 120+ mbs download on AT&T in my site right now, but several sites down from me, it can dwindle down to 5mbs!

We love the Soledad Canyon Thousand Trails! It’s gigantic, so you almost always can find a spot. The best are the back in sites at the top of the campground because you back up to a gorgeous Mountain View Cliff. Their pool and spa are FINALLY open and finished with maintenance. The grounds are kept decently but could be a bit cleaner. We normally have pretty bad cell reception. Starlink works well though if you don’t park under one of the few trees. You can tell TT is trying to make the campground even better. They’ve installed a new leveled section as well as a paved bridge! Expecting more to come! All in all, this is a solid thousand trails to stay at for sure, especially if you can land a cliffside site!

We were on our way to Yosemite at night and had to stop because of a winter storm that shut down the whole highway. We ended up checking into Highland RV Park after hours, which was super easy to do!

They have a whole after hours check in system that works great.

Sites are super clean, paved, and extremely level.

They have a fish wash station which is a nice touch.

Super clean bathrooms but we couldn’t get the code until the next morning because of checking in after hours (heads up if you’re last minute and need a shower)

Only reason I didn’t 5 star is because I think the price is a little steep at $50 per night especially considering the lack of amenities like a pool or tennis courts or anything like that.

Would definitely stay again in a pinch though!

When we booked Mission RV Park, I didn’t really look into it that much. We didn’t know what to expect. Turns out, it’s our new favorite spot to stay when passing through El Paso. The staff are incredibly friendly! They told us about some local attractions that did not disappoint! You are right off the highway, but the campground feels very safe all things considered. Everything is paved and feels super level. They were very accommodating for our dogs and tried to give us a site with a nice sunset view! Would stay here again 100%. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub that are open until 8pm!

This has got to be one of the best campgrounds! We stay here every time we pass through Texas. The campground is huge and offers so many great amenities. People are always super friendly. We have made the most connections of any stay at this campground because of it. I always want to get one of the paved sites at the front because they look so nice! But they are usually taken. It’s so great having an Amazon hub locker right next to the campground as well! You can take your kayak right on to the lake from the access area on the campground. Bathrooms are nice and clean. And the pool / hot tub are open until 11pm which is rare for Thousand Trails!

We arrived and everything was dry. The next morning, our site had literally turned into a pond. By the time I finished packing up to leave, I literally looked like I jumped in the river with all of my clothes on. Haha I guess that’s camping in Florida for ya. The park was nice overall. The bathrooms were okay. Full hookups and lots of trees so our service was a little spotty.

We liked how this CB felt more secluded in the back parking lot. There was some noise from kids blasting music in the next door hotel parking lot, but it settled down before midnight. The lot is fairly well lit and quite level. The only real complaint is that outside kind of stank. I don’t know if it was nearby dumpsters or what, but it knocked off a star for sure haha

This campground is so cool. Takes a bit to get to, and you’ll wonder if you’re at the right place at first, but you are! It’s so peaceful and tranquil. We parked right by the water and had full hookups for only $15. The dogs loved going on walks out to the fishing pier and boat ramps. We wished it were warmer so we could have taken the kayaks out. The sunsets on the gulf look stunning and cell service is off the charts because there is a tower literally on the campground. Highly recommend. Oh! It’s CASH ONLY by the way. Don’t make that mistake because the closest atm is like half an hour away.

We loved staying at Marathon Motel! We will be back for sure. Such a neat hidden gem. The courtyard is beautiful and they let the guests start the fireplace and bonfires at will. The lights at night are so cool and makes the experience feel very special. The moon was too bright for their “star parties” when we were there unfortunately, but those sound super fun to go to. Perhaps the coolest thing we enjoyed was using their new private outdoor showers where you can look up and stargaze while soaking in warm water getting all clean. Truly a unique experience for the books. We will definitely be back!

We liked Rose Valley Ranch and would stay again. We didn’t talk to a soul our entire 3 day stay. We kind of felt isolated which isn’t a bad thing necessarily if you’re not looking for that sort of thing. The sites are huge and feel very private, offering a little fenced in, personal yard at most sites. The bathrooms were very clean and also private feeling. There is only one dumpster and it was very far from our site. Walking around will also involve walking through dirt areas to reach your destination. All in all though it’s a nice, private, roomy park that puts you right near Silver City’s local shops!

This is a hidden gem Thousand Trails campground for us. So many amenities. The off leash dog park, pickleball court, and hot tub/pool are just a few to name that we use! On the weekends they have a wonderful food truck that also serves espresso drinks and fresh pressed juice! Bathrooms are clean and showers are pretty big. Full hookups at most sites as well! We have stayed in both the premium sites and the regular and have enjoyed both. Pool was closed this last visit for renovations but they say it should be open any day now!

We were grateful to get a spot this close to the Eastern South Rim GC entrance, but they definitely capitalize on this. It cost $48 for the night. They don’t have restrooms or showers which is fine, but for that price it was a little surprising. They do have full hookups with 30 amp power but the sites are awkward and we couldn’t find any that were even close to flat which is a bummer if you’re pulling in just after dark. There were also howling dogs in the residential area behind the campsites all night which kept our dogs up. All in all, I’d save the cash and just stay at Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff and wake up 50 minutes earlier the next morning next time.

We pulled in after hours and a ranger kindly helped us find our spot. She recommended a cool hiking trail to check out the next morning. Bathrooms and showers are super clean and well maintained. There is only one designated bathhouse building so if you park far, you’ll be walking a ways. Did I mention the views are gorgeous? The views alone are worth staying here.

We will definitely come back to this one. It is $10 per night to park overnight and the automated machine takes card! We found a nice spot that fit our 21ft travel trailer and 20ft van pulling it right next the the Reservoir. We woke up to beautiful views of the blue/green water and took a morning hike down to walk right out onto one of the natural jetty’s that goes right out into the middle of the water. The picnic tables on the way down to the water have usb charging that is solar powered and umbrellas built in. Perfect spot to have morning coffee/breakfast. We met some nice folks who also helped us back into our spot since it was dark. 10/10 for a boondocking experience
