Red sand

It was quite hot at night in mid-July, but the campground was nice. It had great spots with room to be further away from people. Did not fill up. Ground is mostly a sandy red dirt.

Great view of the monument

It is very close to the monument and has a great view of it. There was hardly anyone there when I camped with my family.

North end camping

This campground does not fill up as quickly or at all many nights.

Camping on the Northern end

We stay here to be closer to Yellowstone in the morning. It helps us get to Yellowstone before their spots fill up.

Popular camping at the Tetons

This campground is pretty within the trees at the park, but it fills up quickly.

Cheaper campground for the park

We like to stay here in order to save a few bucks and camp a little more realistically.

Nice campground in the park

We have stayed at several Yellowstone campgrounds and this was one of the best.

Camping in the woods

We really enjoyed camping at Casper Mountain. We specifically stayed at the Bear Trap campground. You have plenty of room to put your tent and keep it far from your cooking area.

Nice, open campground with great views

This campground is 20 dollars a night, which is a bit more than some of the nearby campgrounds. Very nice hosts and some grassy spots for tents. The views of flaming gorge are great.
