Great NF campground with everything

Fantastic NF campground with everything for anyone. Clean bathrooms and showers. Big sites with water in between. Great hiking trails and if you have kayaks or small boats….. looks like you’ve found the place. Oh and this place has good cell service too.

Never disappointed with this campground!!

A wonderful campground. My third time staying here! Stayed at 29. Rustic but super quiet as it’s all the way in the back by the nature trail. Got some great trail riding in on the muddiest trails I’ve ever been on.

Amazing views for a campground!!!

Ok, if you want a campground with a view… This is your place. Every site with a view of the bay. I was here last year and the water was probably up to more feet this year tons of area to walk along the water‘s edge. Each site has a stone fireplace and a picnic table. Vault toilets. If you want to come to a place with low noise spacious sites, this is the ticket!!! Whether you came up looking to wheel, hike, peace and quiet…. You won’t regret this wonderful place.

Rustic and close to Lake Huron!

If your campsite is not already on the lake with a short 30 yard walk, you still have far to walk to get to the beach. I stayed at 29 and you could fit multiple cars and tents or a good space for a trailer. Fire pit and table at each site. Vault toilets. All and all it’s a win to stay here. I had 82 degree and sunny with a breeze.

Great rustic campground

Great, rustic sites that back up to the north country trail. Very spacious and more than 50 yards in between some of them.

Clean and almost doesn’t feel like camping

Super clean. Asphalt as far as the I can see LOL. It’s a National Park so what do you expect. Great for the family and great for those who want to rough it but not too rough Oh!!! And early May is too early if you’re in a tent and don’t mind below 30 at night. Bathroom and showers are very clean.

Amazing home base camping!

The campsites are great and spaced out nice! Most sites have small pea gravel and are very clean. Bath house is open but no showers are at of March. Three great trails that you can do right from the campgrounds. Miles more within a few minutes drive

Best camp ground (technically) in Michigan

Love this place! Can’t say enough about the views!!! Love the hiking trail and space at each site. Stayed at 26 which is in the back and has an amazingly area with incredible view. 20 looks like it would be a good one too. Pit toilets, water stations and a grilling area. Amazing for $15 a night on the island

If you’re overlanding and just

need a quiet crash the night spot. It’s with ok sized sites. But for $10….. how can you not give this 5 stars. Couple hiking trails and ground to explore and relax after driving all day. Probably wouldn’t recommend any big rigs.

This is what you learn to love

This is the best rustic campground you’ll find. Pit toilets, water down the way, fire rings and picnic tables. Good distance between site and clean!!! Love this place!!! Easy access to carp river. Some site back up to river edge. I stayed at 14 which is quiet and is an amazing site.

Great Camp Ground

Tons of hiking but tons of ticks!! We were there in Early June and the ticks were everywhere. Stay on the gravel. But very nice place with showers.

Great owners!

Stayed at the rustic sites with water. Very large sites with nice little areas behind your site too. Right on Lake Huron.
