Clean, well kept. But the camp spots are very close to each other and close the main road coming in. The east side of the campground’s trees have been recently burned and are regrowing. The west side has full size trees. Easily able to walk to the lake for fishing. Fishing was mediocre (tried fly fishing, casting, bait). At the time there weren’t many people in the campground, but if it was full, there wouldn’t be much privacy.
Simple campground, with vault toilets, tables and fire rings, yet has a primitive feel. Handful of spots overlook mirror lake. Lots of fish within, but was difficult to catch any. Beautiful views. At the time, we were the only ones in the campground. Would definitely come back. There is a lot of primitive spots on the drive up. The road requires some 4 wheel drive (~12”-16” rocks), but take your time, air down and is pretty easy.
