Nice little camping spot close to Hoodsport and hiking at Olympic National Park. I stayed in a spot with full hookups and have a 22’ travel trailer. The spots are a bit close together and a bit difficult backing in to, but the spots themselves are clean and the park is great! The park is close to the road, but the noise from cars wasn’t too terrible. Cellphone service through Verizon was good and the trailer’s antennae picked up about 25 TV channels.
We stayed here for 3 nights in a travel trailer and really loved it. The water hookups were shut off during the time, but we were able to fill up our water tank near the entrance without any trouble. The tank dump site was free as well for those with a reservation (otherwise it’s $5.00).
There wasn’t much noise from the surrounding roadways, and the bathrooms were very clean. Verizon signal was okay, and there was no TV antennae reception (if that’s something you need). Beautiful hiking trails as well! Would definitely stay here again!
My wife and I stayed in a full hook-up spot (#12) with our travel trailer. The site was clean, close to the lake, and had an additional spot to put a tent if needed. It’s pretty close to the freeway (there was a lot of car noise), but I would definitely return again! Cellphone signal (with Verizon) worked well, but there was no tv antenna reception if that’s something you need!
My wife and I arrived on a Friday and left the following Tuesday with our 22’ travel trailer. We stayed in RV4 (one out of the five available RV spots) and it had full hookups. The scenery was amazing and I highly suggest the Beacon Rock/River to Beacon Rock hikes.
We didn’t have any issues at the site, but noticed that spots RV4 and RV5 were relatively distanced from each other, while spots RV1-RV3 were pretty close to each other. The sites are right next to the highway and train tracks as well, with trains running every 30 minutes or so.
All in all, we had a great time and it was a thoroughly enjoyable place to be. Would definitely return!
Took our 22’ travel trailer for two nights during the month of December. The site was clean and well separated from other sites. Beautiful scenery and interesting historic sites. Would definitely return!
