Campers Point (South) was a nice paved campground with electric hookups. We ended up at the very end of the loop.  It was a big campsite with a dirt burm behind us. I think that helped with blocking the evening winds but it took a little away from the lake views (behind the trailer at least).  We did have immediate access to the water as well. There was lots of room to easily navigate through to our site. The site was clean and held my 28ft trailer, my longbox truck, SxS and even our friends ski boat . Good space in between campsites. The reservoir was nice, not too big but not too small. Lots of trees in the water so boaters just need to we watchful. Some people we knew were camped in one of the dirt camp sites (Pee Wee South) and camps were packed in there like sardines! We were more than pleased with our campsite and the layout. If you're going to reserve a spot I recommend Campers Point (South) and pay a little extra for the pavement spots and electric hookups. It was well worth it.

Crystal Lake is a nice area. To get there it's a mix of about 20 miles of gravel and 1 lane paved roads. The gravel roads are well maintained. The 1 lane paved roads are a little iffy if you're pulling a trailer and its a busy travel day. The lake is beautiful and small enough hike around it if you have a few hours. The surrounding area is gorgeous as well. The campground isn't very big, there's about 20 or so sites in the loop and I believe they are all first come first serve. There is a Group campsite and a cabin which are reserveable. We reserved the Group Site which sits closer to the trail head. ONE thing to know if you reserve the Group site, call ahead during the week and get the lock pass code. We overlooked that requirement and almost had to stay in the regular camping area because the gate was locked. Luckily during the evening the camp host came down to see if we paid the nightly fee and he had the code. That said, the camp host wasn't clearly identified anywhere and apparently they were camped out behind the cabin. It appears that at one point either there was a fire or beetle kill in the meadow that the camp sites are in as there are no trees in the immediate area. Its kind of like an large open area that has a lot of overgrowth.  The Group site area has what appears to be a great tent camping layout but the brush is way overgrown and you cant really tell. The regular campground looks the same. Don't get me wrong, the Crystal Lake area is stunning, its just seems like the campgrounds haven't been really tend to in a few years.  We saw a few fish being pulled out of the lake, lots of hikers heading up the trails and a few deer passing through the meadow. Overall it was a nice experience. Good hiking trails and beautiful (smaller) lake to play or relax on. One thing it lacked, for us at least, is trees in the campground and area's to ride our SxS.

This was our first camping trip up to Woodbine and we loved the area and our site. When they say the site is 30 ft max for RV's they mean it! That's about the size of mine(including the tongue) and I ended up parking it a little sideways to fit better. Plenty of room to park the truck beside the trailer though. Campsites were spaced out so you weren't right on top of each other. Short walk to the falls, places to run on your ATV or SxS and the river provides a nice opportunity to raft down. I was a little iffy as we were driving past the mine in Nye but you don't even know its there once you get back into the campground. Nye, which is just a few miles away has a gas station and a small convenient store in the case you forgot or run out of something. For how small the store is they have a lot of things in there you wouldn't expect to find. Woodbine is beautiful and one of the top places on our list that we've camped at so far in Montana. We will definitely be going back again!

This was a nice campground well off a main paved road. About 2 miles of dirt and 2 miles of pavement.  The campground has limited spots but they were clean and wide enough to fit my 28ft camper and long box truck (unhooked and parked next to the camper). There was a toilet onsite and though i didn't use it it looked clean as well. Enough space to get in and out of the campground with no issues and I did see a truck pulling doubles (camper and a flatbed trailer) pulling out one day without any issues. It is all dry camping and does not have any hookups. There are a lot of back roads to get lost on an a few small towns and lakes within close driving distance. All in all, its a great campground that I would stay at again.

This is a great campground if you're going to be out on the lake or hitting the off-road trails. Its literally a campground in the desert though there are some great views in the surrounding areas. The campground itself if nice if you don't mind that there aren't any trees. There are some permanent shades in select campgrounds. Some sites have full water and power hook-ups and there's a free dump station on your way out. The campground was clean! Some sites are very very basic and some sites are updated and well laid out with plenty of room.  We went over 4th of July weekend with no reservations and there were still a handful of open sites available though the good ones that would fit a longer camper trailer were pretty much taken up. The camp hosts were super friendly. The campground sits about a 1/2 mile or so from the lake. The marina/boat dock has a tiny store and there is a great area for day use (bring mosquito spray!). If you're going up for off-roading be sure to print out some maps before hand as there are plenty of great trails and views in this area! This was a great campground! Very clean camp sites, clean bathrooms, and very nice and polite camp hosts. We had reservations Saturday night but showed up Friday night hoping we could get a walk-up spot. The camp hosts were very accommodating and helpful! The spot we reserved was great! Tree coverage, a long picnic table, fire ring,close to the river, close to the bathrooms (if needed), and did I mention…clean?!?! The camp sites were spread out enough so that you didn't feel too crowded. It was a great location for anything you want to do, hiking, biking, fishing, off-roading, or just simply relaxing. We would definitely go back here again.
