Wow!

We didn’t know what to expect with this campground. Wow! Were we pleasantly surprised. Campgrounds have water and electric hook-up. Sites are fairly secluded, have covered picnic area and trill plus fire site.

Hiking and mountain bike trails. On-site horse rentals. Picnic tables & grills under immense cottonwood trees. Interpretive Center & Gift Shop with history, geology, & wildlife exhibits.

Highly recommend!

Great Trails and Camping!

Turkey Run is my all time favorite State Park in Indiana. It has great camping with both reserved and walk up options (get there early for walk up options). Reservations can be made here: https://indianastateparks.reserveamerica.com/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=IN&parkId=570032&ltcmp=177360&ltclickid=0351015144cfbb0fa2-9eb5-41c1-bcb2-f620d18c259e

The campgrounds have modern facilities including showers. Dogs are allowed. We love the hiking trails. The extra bonus for us was to do a covered bridge driving tour!

Great for Hot Summer Escape!

We love camping at Mount Charleston in the summer! It provides the perfect break from the Vegas heat! McWilliams campground was renovated in 2015 featuring paved parking areas at each campsite. Bathrooms are modern but no showers. Lots of hiking available! We had a very small herd of wild mustangs go through our site! Very cool! Campsites fill up fast!! It can feel crowded. Best to reserve your site in advance www.reserveamerica.com. Campground is dog friendly! There are no RV hook-ups and no dump site.

We Love This Place

This is one of our absolute favorite places to camp in Southern Nevada!! All the camp siites in both camp grounds are clean and have water at each site. The first camp ground (Atlati) has a limited number of sites that also have electricity, modern bathrooms and showers— they fill up fast!. The Arches camp ground which is about a quarter of a mile past Atlati has beautifully secluded sites!! We love sites # 22, 23 and 24!

Warning: It is HOT in the summer! Talking average daytime temps of 115 degrees F. Nights do not cool down much at all. Best time to camp would be October - May. Winter months can get cold at night so check temps.

Hiking is great. Amazing sights both wildlife and scenery!! It is sandy hiking and some bouldering.
