Great for tents or small units

I was a little upset when I booked two sites for a 24’ motorhome and 26 ‘ trailer. Site 11 for the trailer was barely 26’ deep and the angle to back in was opposite what it needed to be. There was no room left to park the truck. Fortunately I went and talked to the host ( very nice guy) and he let us have the site on the other side of the road 12 which was right on the river and plenty big enough for truck and trailer. It had been marked unavailable but I guess he’s really picky about who he lets in there because it has a sheer drop off into the River and he doesn’t want any little kids falling in. I put my motorhome in 11 straight across from it so it worked out good. There are really nice pads for tents on all the sites. But almost all were to small for more than 26’ motorhome.

Disappointed

I didn’t call ahead but when I got there the gate was locked mid day 4/6/21. Very close to the freeway and didn’t look like much to do. Was hoping for something close to water.

Nice park primitive sites $20 pw $30 full hookups $35. Full hookup sites are more like a RV park than a campground

Not far from freeway and Mt St Helens visitors center. The Johnson Ridge observation point is about another 35 miles away. Both were closed when we were there on 3/26/21. There are sites from tent only to full hookup. The ones towards the front are close together with power and water. Thick trees makes it pretty shady. The biggest sites are in the back loop. They were closed not sure if it was the season or the fact that many had extensive wind damage.

Great place

Lake side with power water and dump station. Nice beach large sites. Lake side trails for hiking

Nice place

Reservations are strongly suggested. We got the last campsite that was available. The elevation is like 7200 feet it was barely chilly at night in November beautiful place would like to go see it again someday

Nice place

We went there first of October. $30 to get inside the park but if you have a America beautiful pass for $80 it’s good for a year. In the RV area with electric hook ups is more like a parking lot Loop b is pretty much tents only. Loop a there are a few decent size sites 14-19 but you better have reservations. It’s $25 a night for the campground. The hike to the falls is nice and not too bad or long.

Glamping

Tiny little town gem. Super clean and nice full hookups including cable (I didn’t get mine to work but I’ve never tried before so that’s probably my lack of knowledge) laundry pool table video games swimming pool full bar restaurant that will deliver to your campsite! (I didn’t do it) If you’re going exploring the south side of st helens this is a great place to stay oh and they have cabins you can rent too. I recommend reservations. Cheers
