Walk to the lake, spacious sites, friendly hosts

Spent a great couple of night here in June. Some of the sites back onto cabins and we were worried they would be noisy at night, but we didn't hear a thing.

The hosts and rangers were really friendly and helpful. The sites were large considering the prime Tahoe location - we had plenty of space for our 9x8ft tent.

You can walk to a small beach from here, or go to Sunnyside bar + restaurant for lakeside food and drinks. Also walkable to Tahoe city, but I think cycling would be nicer.

Page Lake Powell Campground

Beautiful setting and a short drive to shops and tours around the nearby canyons. Tent pitches are on sand and very easy to hammer in pegs. Each pitch has an electric point, water tap and a picnic bench which can be moved into tree shade if desired. Facilities are excellent, clean and warm. Great laundry as well.

Clean campground near a beautiful lake

This is a beautiful campground with nice large sites. The bathrooms and trash were maintained regularly. There was no water at the campground when we were there (it seems like it might be a long term issue) - we were warned about this in advance so it wasn’t much trouble.

The lake is walkable but the path is very steep and there aren’t many places to sit. We ended up driving 5mins to the boat launch and hung out near there instead.

There is nothing else for miles around so come prepared with all your food and essentials. It’s a long long drive if you forget something.

Loved this campground, work up to views of My Whitney.

Great campground with views of Mt Whitney from camp. Had everything we needed for a comfortable night and we enjoyed exploring the rocks and little stream nearby. The ground is fairly hard and not much shade - plan your gear accordingly. We needed bug spray in April for mosquitoes. Our little Ford Fiesta did fine on the dirt roads to access the campsite.
