Great sites on rushing river

GPS takes you right to parking for this set of sites. I heard there are more down the road. Great open and flat spots to set up tents. There are enough trees for cover and setting up hammocks. These sites are also right on Fall River which makes for great noise while sleeping and hanging out. Only an hour drive from Denver so we’ll definitely come back

One of my favorites

Great place to get away from Denver. Many sites are right on the river. Not sure how many sites there are, but there are quite a lot, and many hidden in the woods that you can’t really see from the road. We love coming up here as it is a good balance of being in the wilderness, but still close to town if you need something. Just a heads up that it looks like they will be closing this road down for maintenance as of June 1 so be sure to check the status before coming

Big spaces

Great camping spots right on the water. No services and the views and camp sites were all great and quite large.

Great area!

Had a blast at this place. We arrived early Friday morning and most spots were already claimed. There are a total of 35 free camp sites but if you continue down 550 there are some paid camp sites as well, but those were closed for the time being. Sherif came through a few times. Sites were big and far enough away from neighbors. Would recommend.
