This was a great campsite. It really close to forks and la push. Good cell reception. Only big downside is how close it is to the road so you can hear cars driving by
Really cool area. Walking distance to many beach access points. There was someone working the whole time we were there to sell firewood, or assist in any way needed. The sites are very close together however so there’s not much privacy
The park area is right on a really pretty blue river. The camp sites are all really close to the river as well so you can walk there in no time. Bathrooms were very nice. And all the staff was very friendly and helpful
This was tied for my favorite redwoods campsite. We stayed for 1 night in march and it was almost entirely booked so I would reserve a spot. It was a little buggy in the woods but not too bad. The prairie itself was really beautiful especially at dusk. The surrounding woods is exactly what you look for when going to redwoods.
We came in mid march so they were still technically in their “off season”. All the staff I spoke to were very kind and helpful. There was no one else tent camping so we had the whole area to ourselves. Since it was the off season the store, bathroom and restaurant were closed but it’s still a really nice area to camp. It also had good cell reception. Only thing is that it was buggy when we were there.
