Safe Harbor RV Park was convenient and perfect for an overnight stay. Spaces are long and level. No extras, no picnic tables, no shower houses, however everyone was friendly, and we had no issues with the water/sewer/electric. Wifi and internet weren't great, but we were tired and not interested in watching TV anyway. Some road noise but it didn't keep us awake. Seems to be lots and lots of permanent residents there and just a few travelers coming and going. We'd stay here again if we're passing through. The owner at check-in recommended The Ark restaurant to us, which is within walking distance. We ate there and it was delicious. We appreciated the recommendation.

Springwood RV Park was great for our overnight stay. Our pull-thru site was right next to the office and was very level. Our site had a picnic table. We had no issues with the water/electric/sewer. Our rate was$48.

We'd never been to South Carolina before and had no idea what to expect. We were thoroughly smitten with the coast and the city of Myrtle Beach, but we really loved camping in the state park. Everything was clean, manicured, raked, and private. You can see your neighbor's camper, but usually behind some trees. We now understand the words"Carolina pines" better. They are tall, straight as an arrow, and beautiful. There are millions of them in this park. Our site was level with easy access. It was long enough for our truck and fifth wheel. It was surprising how secluded everything was, yet the city is really closeby. People were friendly. There was a bunch of kids riding bikes, having fun. Lots of parents enjoying cooking out with friends. The park was super quiet at night though. All of the staff seemed cheerful and like they enjoy their jobs. Every camper seemed good about picking up after their dogs, which was really nice. We haven't found that everywhere. The only negative I would give this place is that arrival is a bit confusing, especially with a big rig. It wasn't real clear how far back in the woods we were going to go before we came upon the check-in building. Then, it wasn't real clear that we needed to go around the circle of the little parking lot in order to come up alongside the check-in building. Luckily, we did it right, but there needs to be more signage out there spelling it out in detail along the way. When you're pulling a 40'+ fifth wheel with a big truck, you can't just turn around anywhere. We were afraid we were going the wrong way a couple of times. That can be anxiety-inducing.

I can't give Carolina Landing five stars because the sites are so close together. Also, our site- A5- was super unlevel. I felt unsafe with our fifth wheel's two left tires up in the air after auto-leveling. That was a first for us, and hope we never have to do that again. The hill getting up to our site was steep. This place is full of big rigs, however, it is not conducive to them. Every turn is tight. The dog in the camper next to us was allowed to bark nonstop when it came outside. The park staff even texted us after arrival to see how things were going, and also again mid-way through our stay. I mentioned the dog. Nothing happened. The neighbors did manage to hear the dog after about ten minutes each time, and they did put it up, but gosh. That's a lot of unnecessary barking. Currently, the pool is green, but I expect that will change soon. The mini-golf needs some love, but it's in pretty good condition considering some that we've seen other places. The clubhouse, office, bath houses, and laundry are nice and clean. The staff is friendly. The tall tall trees are beautiful. We didn't meet any of our neighbors as almost no one comes out of their campers. The weather was very nice at least 3 of the 8 days we were there. We never saw anyone sitting out around a fire, cooking out, or just hanging out. We saw a few people playing basketball a couple of times, and lots of kids rode their bikes occasionally. We saw a lot of big rigs struggling to get up the hills to park in the A section. If you have a big rig, park somewhere else besides the A section if at all possible.(We paid$0 because this was part of our Thousand Trails membership.)

We had a wonderful 4night/5 day camping trip at Loyd Park last week. The campsites are very wooded and shady, making our travel trailer's A/C not have to work as hard as usual. The camping spots are big and each one has its own wonderful covered picnic table. Our wifi/hotspot worked perfectly so my husband could get some work done during the week. We really enjoyed swimming as well. The lake water was cool and very refreshing! Everything was very clean and well-kept. Our cost was$22.50 per night that included a 10% off Good Sam discount. Then there was a$2 per person per day-use Senior Citizen fee that equaled$16. So all total$90 plus$16 equals$106 divided by 4 nights was$26.50 per night. We had fun! (There is major construction on Ragland Rd right now. The road was a little hairy coming in with a 28' travel trailer on a one way pot-hole filled road. So I'm giving it 1 star for access right now. It WILL get better as they finish construction….soon I hope!)
